What you Say Freeman’s catalogue practically contains everything under the sun. From the latest fashion trend in Women’s clothes, to the latest craze in children’s toys, if you want it, Freeman’s catalogue has got it! The easy to use service enables you use the phone, post or even the Internet to order things. All you have to do is join up and set up an account with them. The catalogue is large, packed full of the latest accessories and clothes fashions. Just some of the sections in the catalogue are: · Women’s clothes: This section of the catalogue has all of the latest fashion designs in women’s clothes. The clothes you buy from this section are of the highest quality and most of them have ‘designer labels’. The section also features shoes of top quality like the clothes. · Men’s clothes: Like the women’s clothes, these are of the best quality and a lot of them have ‘designer labels’. The section also features shoes of top quality like the clothes. · Children’s clothes: This section features clothes for children aged from 0 – 16yrs. The clothes, like the adults clothes are the highest quality. Children’s shoes also feature here. There are many more which contain a lot of other useful items that are must-haves for the household. My house as bought a washing machine from them, and I also buy most of my clothes here. One disadvantage is the price of most items. Prices for most of the items are cheaper elsewhere. A lot of the items I have ordered have always been quick, next day delivery. However, there are some items that have been quite slow to arrive. I bought an exercise bike from them, and it took a whole month to arrive, when it did arrive, it was faulty and I had to wait a whole two weeks before I finally had it taken away, I also have to wait another month before I get a replacement! Apart from this occasion, all service has been swift. Another disadvantage is the price of most items. Lower prices for most of the items are cheaper elsewhere. Another advantage of Freeman’s catalogue is that you do not have to pay for everything straight away. You have the choice of paying in instalments and get up to 50 weeks of interest free credit. In addition, if you spend over a certain amount, you accumulate a number of points that will take a substantial amount off your next purchase. Overall this is one of my favourite catalogues to order from.

What the press say ...
The UK's big five catalogue retailers, Littlewoods, Great Universal Stores, Freemans, Freemans and Empire (now Redcats) are suffering a dramatic decline in their business and are acting "like rabbits in the headlights", according to an industry report. The firms, which offer home shopping through catalogues and 'agents', have seen their sales and profits decline sharply. Retail analysts Verdict Research blame the changing social structure of the country for the drop in revenue. Catalogue shopping - or agency mail order - once saw people, usually women, sell merchandise to a circle of family, friends and acquaintances.
